The Concept
Delivering an AI-Native ODA canvas.
Scope & key activities
The scope of Project Foundation is to deliver the industry’s first AI‑Native ODA Canvas Sandbox - a secure, collaborative, Kubernetes‑orchestrated environment where CSPs, hyperscalers, and technology partners can co‑develop, integrate, and test interoperable AI agents aligned with the TM Forum AI‑Native Blueprint.
Key deliverables include:
- A robust AI‑native infrastructure including a Model‑as‑a‑Service Gateway, AI‑Gateway for secure agent interactions, and Canvas‑native Data Operators.
- A unified agent development model with declarative manifests and patterns for integrating both Canvas‑native and external agents.
- A cross‑vendor, production‑grade environment supporting CI/CD, observability, and agent lifecycle management.
Objectives & outcomes
The objective is the showcase a real‑world Autonomous Network Fault Resolution demo at DTW Ignite 2026, proving end‑to‑end automation with multi‑agent collaboration.
In addition, the project will produce agentic use cases such as 5G Dynamic Slice Management and a Security Agent implementing the TM Forum’s AI‑Native Security Framework.

This Innovation Hub Pioneer Project is working on managing faults in an Autonomous Networks level 4 scenario. This involves combining the thinking and design/implementation patterns from each of the Autonomous Networks high-value scenario (HVS) use cases and abstracting the patterns to create a set of common reusable processes to manage faults across the entire network and for all network technologies.

AI Value Accelerator - TM Forum AIVA
The AI Value Accelerator is a collaborative sandbox where members rapidly experiment with generative AI and agentic systems in real telecom environments. It delivers practical outcomes like AI copilots for assurance and orchestration, while embedding transparency, trust, and interoperability with ODA. This Innovation Hub Pioneer Project is working on how to manage dynamic 5G slices end-to-end from the customer to the network. This is part of a wider objective to redesign AI-enabled systems and processes for the end-to-end management of the IT and network elements of an autonomous network. This is a key aspect of accelerating the journey to Autonomous Networks level 4, with a set of flexible, agile IT systems to standardize how network resources and services are managed.

This TM Forum Innovation Hub Pioneer Project focuses on standardizing network resource management via Open APIs. Achieving Autonomous Networks level 3 or level 4 requires a set of flexible, agile IT systems to standardize how network resources and services are managed. This project aims to enable legacy networks and network resources to be managed alongside the newer, more flexible software-enabled virtual network resources of an Autonomous Network. This will include removing vendor-specific interfaces and redesigning and ‘wrapping the network services and resources with a set of industry-standard management and operational APIs to simplify how network services and resources are managed.
