End-to-end 5G dynamic slice management
The Concept
Scope & key activities
The scope of the project is to build a Canvas-based environment to develop an end-to-end solution, leveraging prior Catalyst work and member capabilities. This will include:
- Identifying Member components and applications to manage customer requirements from an intent-based perspective.
- Enabling intent-based product ordering and service activation for a single 5G slice.
- Launching a customers’ service using 5G slice via service and resource orchestration APIs & monitor in real time to simulate customer usage.
- Introducing controlled service degradation to trigger automated anomaly detection & apply AI-driven orchestration and self-healing to recover service by reconfiguring 5G access.
The aim is to showcase a live demo at DTW Ignite in June 2026 in Copenhagen, with the potential for an early showcase at MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
Use case and outcomes
The use case being tackled is managing an access SLA using dynamic 5G slice management.
The expected outcomes include:
- Canvas environment
- End-to-end processes
- Proof of vendor-agnostic operations
